Webb Soypher McGrath Welcomes Attorney Caroline Clarke to Bethesda Family Law Practice

Webb Soypher McGrath, a premier family law firm in Bethesda serving Maryland and Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce that attorney Caroline Clarke joined the firm’s legal team as of May 27, 2025. Caroline will focus her practice on divorce and custody matters throughout Maryland, bringing valuable judicial experience and a commitment to helping families navigate challenging legal situations.

Caroline brings distinguished experience to Webb Soypher McGrath, having served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kevin G. Hessler of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland. This judicial clerkship provided Caroline with invaluable insight into family court proceedings and the complexities of divorce and custody cases from the bench perspective.

“We are delighted to welcome Caroline to our team,” said Deborah Webb, Partner at Webb Soypher McGrath. “Her judicial clerkship experience, combined with her academic achievements and dedication to family law, make her an excellent addition to our practice. Caroline’s background and local roots in the Washington Metropolitan area will serve our clients well as they navigate some of the most challenging times in their lives.”

A native of the Washington Metropolitan area, she attended Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School before earning her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Boston College in 2018, graduating cum laude. Caroline received her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in Boston in 2023, also graduating cum laude.

Caroline demonstrates her commitment to the legal profession through active membership in several professional organizations, including the Maryland State Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, and the Montgomery County Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association. She previously served as an Associate Member of the Montgomery County Inns of Court.

“I am excited to join Webb Soypher McGrath and contribute to the firm’s reputation for providing compassionate, skilled representation to families in transition,” said Caroline. “Having grown up in this community, I understand the unique challenges that local families face, and I look forward to helping clients achieve positive outcomes during difficult times.”

When not practicing law, Caroline enjoys exploring the Washington area’s coffee shop scene with her fiancé and their golden retriever, Gwen. She is an avid supporter of Washington sports teams and values spending quality time with family and friends.
